Sonic Beacon is a PC application that works to test and take measurements of speakers and any other type of electro-acoustic product, using Windows multimedia cards.
Sonic Beacon runs tests and checks to evaluate diverse parameters: frequency, fase answers, Harmonic distortion, intermodulation, polarity, impedence, sensitivity, etc. Also, the program has support for samples up to 192kHz, and FFT lengths of up to 128000 points.
Sonic Beacon has a total of six virtual instruments, that can be organized into a cascade to create a unique process. An entry signal passes in series from one module to another. That signal comes from a WAV file, a signal generator or any sound card.
Each module runs a process on this entry sound, and alters the presentation of its frequency or time domain. If the modules have been organized coherently into a cascade, you can do a sensitive analysis on the signal, and the results are totally reliable. Sonic Beacon lets you do all this completely for free.
